I-Mo-Jah - Rockers From the Land of Reggae and Phillip Fullwood's Words in Dub LP mark the 100th and 101st releases from the venerable Pressure Sounds label. I have always admired Pressure Sounds for their dedication to finding some of the most interesting, inspiring and superb Jamaican music to release -- from Rocksteady to serious roots to crazy dubwise styles to the digital revolution of the 1980s. There is hardly a title among those 100 that I don't rate and there are plenty that travel with me everytime I play records. Furthermore, Pressure Sounds' releases have always looked great -- they showcase a respect for Jamaican music by taking the time and effort to make their packaging worthy of music contained within. In any case, I wanted to celebrate PRESSURE SOUNDS 100 by making this mix of some of my top Pressure Sounds releases that I was specifically feeling this week! Please take a look at https://www.pressure.co.uk/ for all of these great titles.
