This week Jamiel is taking the wheel and Sarah & Jamiel are exploring what the research says about the impact of volunteering as a Girl Scout troop leader... then, because Jamiel's service team are the queens of recruitment, she is sharing some of her tips for recruiting volunteers, including thinking outside the box to find non-traditional volunteers.

When I first started chatting with Shaleigha, she told me that it'd be easier to describe what roles she HASN'T held as a Girl Scout volunteer. In today's interview, we focused mostly on her roles as a leader for multiple troops and service unit manager. Because it's almost April, we also had a really interesting discussion about Volunteer Appreciation Month and Volunteer Appreciation in general. 

It's actually like a karmic joke that we started January with a "BEST COOKIE SEASON EVER" Troop Leader Tee. I know that for many of you, this has NOT been the BEST COOKIE SEASON EVER.
