In our American culture, what seems to be the focus of our typical households?
What do you think our culture might find attractive about older Christians training encouraging younger Chrsitians to live wisely?
Did someone older than you ever train encourage you to thrive in any of your life phases?
Titus 2:13 (NLT) we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed.

a. To find the power you need to turn from selfish autonomy and toward wisdom, friendship with devotion to God, you have to look forward with hope. How might you turn more of your attention on savoring Jesus glory instead of striving for your own?

1. When youre among the church, pay close attention and listen for true gospel messaging. (God saves you by your faith, not by your faithfulness.)
a. How might church members learn to do this better?
2. Before following any church leader, focus on inspecting their character credibility, not on their charisma.
a. Why do you think this is so hard for most people?
3. The New Testament consistently instructs us to show patient grace with deeply flawed church members in order to restore them back to God. But it instructs the elders to reprimand or reject corrupt church leaders sternly.
a. Would you feel comfortable in a church that reprimanded one of the leaders? (Why / Why not?)

2. To transform lives and continue on, the resurrection event had to overcome so many obstacles. Which of these is the most compelling argument for you to believe the Resurrection event literally happened?
