Berkshire Murders ft. Josh Hallmark
Welcome back to the True Crime Fan Club podcast. I’m your guest host Josh, of True Crime B******t. I’m sitting in for Lanie, who is on maternity leave. In 2018, Berkshire County in Massachusetts saw an explosion of violent murders. In the years between 2009-2019, there were approximately 25 homicides in Berkshire County, with approximately […]
Juan Chavez, Thrill Killer
Thrill killers are individuals who find “intense stimulation and excitement” by causing their victims pain or terror before their deaths. Once their prey is dead, they lose interest and often move onto another victim. These types of kills are typically not sexual and do not result in mutilation, as the power and pleasure come from […]
The Murder of Brandon Teena
This case has been with me since I saw the 1999 file ‘Boys Don’t Cry’. I was obsessed with learning about Brandon’s story and finally decided to tell it to you. We don’t often hear about Brandon anymore when we talk about Transgender rights and prejudices. His story is important. His story deserves to be […]
All of us dream of winning the lottery. Millions to make our lives easier, to lavish extravagant gifts on our families and friends, and take time off from work. But many winners of the lottery find that it’s not all sunshine and roses, and studies show that 70% of winners are broke within seven years […]
The Broken Bever Brothers
Parricide or familicide is rare, although these types of cases get so much media, making them seem more common than they are. Most of these types of murders are committed by a single individual, and in many cases, the perpetrator commits suicide after murdering their family members. Today is a rare instance of two perpetrators, […]
Dimebag – REPLAY
Darrell ‘Dimebag’ Abbott was one of the founders of Pantera. His life was tragically ended when a crazed fan stormed the stage. His delusions caused him to believe that Pantera was stealing his thoughts. Dimebag was a born and bred Texas musician who is still fondly spoken about in the Dallas music scene. R.I.P. Darell […]
This is an excellent podcast and all crime junkies should give it a listen! Excellent narrations great on facts without going too deep or too shallow. Love it that they cover cases that are not the same old rehash. Looking forward to more episodes!
I LOVE this podcast, but I wonder if she listens to the podcast before posting. I’m listening to the Santa Killings about the Persian family, and there are numerous times where she re-reads a line and forgets to delete the first read. Also, the most recent Brandon episode also has numerous sound problems. If you’re getting sponsored and making money, please care about your work. Other than editing issues, I love the podcast!
Limit numbers in narration
Overall a good tc podcast. Although the Abraham Shakespeare episode had some good research, it really needed editing. Wasn’t ready for prime time. Tedious to listen to with so many strings of numbers being called out (dates, vehicle model #s, dollar amounts, etc.). Something to keep in mind for future episodes.
