Hosts Nic and the Captain invite you to grab a chair, grab a beer and join them as they talk some true crime. This is no ordinary garage: it’s a rabbit hole of true crime, with a generous supply of alcohol and banter to lighten the load. From international atrocities to heinous stories on (US) home turf, dive head-first into a different case each week, and enjoy a cold one whilst your there.

If you consider yourself an armchair detective, you’re in the right place, and you’re amongst friends. For the mystery-seeker, True Crime Garage presents an archive of missing persons, unsolved and cold cases, plus accounts of infamous serial killers and chilling solved cases.

In late February of 2005 a crew working in the A line subway tunnel in Brooklyn New York found dismembered body parts in trash bags. Later the victim was identified as 19 year old Rashawn Brazell. Rashawn had vanished three days earlier. The New York City Police Department searched all over the country for clues. Rashawn’s murder case was profiled several times on America’s Most Wanted. This week True Crime Garage is joined by Rashawn’s mother Desire to discuss the case and where it stands today.

Great true-crime

Levity and facts. Great rapport between the Nick and the Captn’. They believe in the constitution, they blame the criminal not the weapon and they are even handed with law enforcement. Not inherently anti-cop, but point out the shortcomings.

Big Love & a 1 Star Penalty

This is one of my favorite podcasts. It’s actually fun. Love the intros and outros the Captain composes. However, over the past year (2019/2020) the commercial time has gotten humongous. Three straight minutes a pop... so I’ve deducted one star. Seems they are adding one full minute of ads per break every season. Where will this end? Also The Captain seems to have gotten on an autotune bender — which hurts my ears.

Case Suggestion…

I’m not sure if you guys take any suggestions for your show but have you ever heard of the mysterious unsolved cases that haunt Bardstown, KY? You have the case pf a missing woman (Crystal Rogers) the murder of her father a year later (Tommy Ballard) and also the unsolved murder of a cop Jason Ellis…. Just thought it might be some good material for you guys to cover.
