A hidden gem

Terrific show. Smart writing. Love the narration, in which small bobbles are not omitted. It conveys immediacy. But it’s the writing and storytelling that makes this my latest favorite.

So well done - informative and relevant

What an excellent show! It manages to be enthralling without focusing on the topic’s sensational points- weaving in a perfect amount of information (details of the crime, geographical and historic relevancy) to pull the listener in by giving relevant context and explaining terms he or she might not know. For example- an explanation on dala horses that gives context to the captivating art used as the podcast title, which she references in other episodes making you feel included and even informed. More recently, I loved that she briefly explained what a balaclava is- I know most people probably already knew that term but it was newer to me and helped complete the visual. (Ok true thing was I was thinking it was a Greek pastry and why would the attacker have that?!)

Finally, the hostess has such a captivating voice and tempo- almost haunting you into the story.

Thank you so much!
