    Listen to the Podcast:

Put on your white suits and break out your red roses — and for heaven’s sake, please make sure you’re not being tailed — as we dig into the final episode of TRUE DETECTIVE season two!

Josh Wigler (@roundhoward), Antonio Mazzaro (@acmazzaro) and Jeremiah Panhorst (@jpanhorst) are back together one last time to discuss the season (and maybe even the series) finale of TRUE DETECTIVE, called “Omega Station.” In their final episode together, the trio of True Detectives discuss the following:

Bye Bye Bye: Why did Colin Farrell’s ex-mustached cop Ray Velcoro drive off toward certain doom? What was the purpose of gangster Frank Semyon pulling off his heist, if only to get stabbed and left for dead in the desert? Was the ending a letdown for Ani Bezzerides? And can someone explain the purpose of Paul? Josh, Antonio and Jeremiah dig into all the different endings for the show’s main characters, and their level of satisfaction.

Mean Machine: The three hosts talk about the deeply dark ending of TRUE DETECTIVE season two, what it says about writer Nic Pizzolatto’s mission statement, and what we’re supposed to take away from it all.

Is That It?: Will TRUE DETECTIVE return for a third season, or will the negative reaction to season two prevent HBO from returning to the crime anthology series? Josh, Antonio and Jeremiah have divided opinions on the issue.

How Did Alf End?: No spoilers here, but that’s just a tease of the weirdness you’re in store for with the final episode of Post Show Recaps’ TRUE DETECTIVE coverage. Let us know what you think of the podcast in the comments section below.

True Detective | Season 2 Episode 7 Recap

    Listen to the Podcast:

The truth shall set you free — perhaps even fatally, in the case of a few characters — in the latest episode of TRUE DETECTIVE, called “Black Maps and Motel Rooms.”

Josh Wigler (@roundhoward), Antonio Mazzaro (@acmazzaro) and Jeremiah Panhorst (@jpanhorst) are back together to podcast about the penultimate episode of TRUE DETECTIVE season two. In this week’s episode, the trio discusses everything including…

Antonio Draws First Blood: The first point has been scored in the death draft! Antonio nailed his prediction — or shot it, rather — with the tragic death of Paul Woodrugh this week. The hosts talk through the way the death played out and the consequences that are sure to spill out into the final episode of the season, and they also reset the stakes for the draft heading into the finale.

Ray + Ani = Rani: Okay, we’re shipping it! Now that it’s official, the hosts talk about Ray and Ani sealing the deal and what that means for both characters moving forward, especially given the emotional epiphanies both detectives reached in this last episode.

Frank Semyon Becomes Frank Castle: Is Vince Vaughn actually about to access his inner Punisher? It sure seems that way now that he’s ordered an insane amount of guns, twice over, in what appears to be a plan to take down Osip and reclaim his stolen millions, and then some. The question is, will Frank’s plan work out, or has he reached the end of his rope?

And Much More: Josh, Antonio and Jeremiah talk about all the major revelations surrounding the Caspere case, the crimes committed by the Vinci police officers, the ramifications of the 1992 diamond heist, predictions for the 90-minute finale, and more. Check back next week for their recap of the TRUE DETECTIVE season two finale, and let us know what you think of this week’s show in the comments below!

True Detective | Season 2 Episode 5 Recap

    Listen to the Podcast:

Josh Wigler (@roundhoward) returns this week and finds himself in an uncomfortable stare down with Antonio Mazzaro (@acmazzaro) and Jeremiah Panhorst (@jpanhorst)… because they need to talk.

    In this week’s podcast:

Clean Face, Dirty Past: Ray finds out that cleaning up his appearance does not hide the ugly acts he has done.

True Detective is a deadly game…unless played with NERF guns: Teague Dixon may be dead, but his spirit is still alive and well.

Who is Paul’s daddy and what does he do?: As Paul gets ready for fatherhood, the guys discuss Paul’s own father, and how his absence affects who Paul is today.

The Way of the Gangster: Frank tries to justify all of his actions. Will the ends justify the means when all is said and done?

By Invitation Only: What steps will Ani take to get back onto this case, and what leads can she tackle that Ray and Paul cannot?

Josh, Antonio and Jeremiah also touch on the Chessani family, Pitlor’s condition after a visit from Ray, and the previews for next weeks episode. Plus, they answer YOUR questions. True Detective | Season 2, Episode 4 Recap

    Listen to the Podcast:

In case you need something to listen to on an ill-fated bus ride, The TRUE DETECTIVE podcast is back for this season’s fourth episode, “Down Will Come.”

We’ve had cryptic transmissions from Josh Wigler(@roundhoward) in upstate California, so he is away this week, but Antonio Mazzaro (@acmazzaro) and Jeremiah Panhorst (@jpanhorst) are here putting out some fires and starting new ones. A and J are investigating this case from all angles, and just like A and Ray they are wondering where their third detective is, and if he’s on another tear-laden, paparazzi-infused guilt bender. This is the halfway mark of the season, so Antonio and Jeremiah reset the major storylines (train, murder, bird) and try to sift out which of the clues are gold, and which are just Nick Pizzolatto’s Id run amok. Honestly does the man just have a dead bird instead of a heart? WHAT IS GOING ON?

Unlock the Show with these Smart Guys!!!

It’s a must listen for super nerds, smarty smarts and other odd balls who love intelligent commentary.

I am so ready to devour yet another season of True Detective, and Josh and Antonio are the guys to feed it to me piece by piece. YUM YUM!!!

They break the episode down so well I feel like I’m taking a college course.
Their analogies are perfect, and I love all the obscure references from Lost to Shakespeare.
They illuminate new layers of each episode, and provoke new theories in my mind as I drive to work.

I think since Antonio is a lawyer he has a brilliant analytical way of breaking down each story line, and "planting flags" on moments for us as viewers to keep track of throughout the season (SUPER FUN).
I feel like I’m hearing him build a case and I’m just getting smarter by listening to him.

I enjoy True Detective more the "second time”, in my minds eye, while driving my long commute to work because the analysis is so vivid.

Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!!

Who? Who? ,

The shows is better

The producers need to learn how to upload episodes on iTunes.
