Lenny has played at iconic venues such as Ministry Of Sound - (London), ‘Studio 54’ - (New York City), ‘Hacienda’ - (Manchester), ‘La Queen’ - (Paris) and he also DJ'ed for the closing party at ‘The Chevron’ - (Melbourne).

    Crystal Waters a true icon in house music speaks about her humble beginnings from a young child and being exposed to some of the greatest musicians because of her dad who was a famous jazz musician. She toured with her dad as a young artist and was able to get an education of what it is like to be an artist. As she finished college she takes a job with the State, at the Parole Board. Hungering to write music she hooks up with a keyboard player and they begin to start writing demos on a 4-track recorder. She then proceeds to go to a music conference in her hometown and is attracted to the Basement Boys because of their leather jackets that they were sporting at the time. She hands them her cassette demo and the rest is history. "Gypsy Woman" is created and a deal is signed. Crystal shares with us how her life changed from that moment the single dropped and became a huge pop hit.

    Crystal Waters in this part shares with us her life after success and at the same time trying to define herself as a true dance pop artist. She was in the middle of a divorce and battling with her production company and record label over the contracts through her lawyers. As you will hear from herself this is never an easy thing to be dealing with especially when there is a lot of money involved. It's a constant battle to learn the new techniques that are happening in the music business and at the same time trying to balance it all, especially working with different personalities like managers and promotion people, but she finds her way through it all. Eventually, she is dropped from her record label Mercury Records and works on her singing career one song at a time. She discovers new success through working with different producers. One European Italian DJ steals her song and remixes it, adds his name next to her as a feature and it becomes a huge hit. Actually, it hits #1 in 41 countries on the pop charts. Listen to how her song "Destination Calabria" brings another huge success to Crystal in the ever-changing times and new landscape with streaming. This episode is a true history lesson and learning tool all in one.

    Johnny D Demairo in part 1 speaks about his start from his older sister introducing him to disco music and then in 1979 walking into a roller rink and hearing this music as well at the teen disco. At that moment he knew his life changed and wanted to be part of this music thing. He finds Disco and it becomes everything. His young professional career starts as a mobile DJ and it so happens that he asked to DJ at a Sweet 16 for the sister of DJ Danny Cole. That is the big door opener to his first night club Plaza Suite in Bay Ridge Brooklyn. He begins as Danny's Light man. One night Danny steps away from the booth at 12am and gives Johnny his first professional break spinning at the club for two hours and everything from that moment changes instantly.

In this part he explains what it was like working for older owners of a famous jazz label looking to step into Disco and all the wonderful records he was responsible for during his time at the label.
