Customer Reviews
Great True Storytelling with Interviews!
These are terrific true stories - professionally vetted, edited and rehearsed. THEN the host, Michelle, interviews the person who lived (and wrote and read) the story. Many times, the interview is more interesting and revealing than the story itself! I loved hearing more in-depth about each story, storyteller and process of editing the ideas into an entertaining performance. Michelle is a thoughtful, curious and charming interviewer. She is obviously a talented storyteller (and book author) herself, who knows how to tease out details of the writers’ lives. This is NOT a hobby podcast of someone chatting inanely with friends. If you like This American Life or The Moth Radio Hour, you will definitely like this too: great true stories in a unique format. I LOVED every episode. I hope Season Two drops soon!
What amazing stories!
If the saying, “the truth will set you free”, then this is a great example of free people. I recommend this to everyone I know who loves true stories!!
Captivating!
Not only are these stories well written, rich, and enthralling but the format of an interview afterwards allows for that much more depth into the story and storyteller. Michelle asks questions you have probably thought of when hearing the story, giving even more dimension to the person and their experience. If you love the Moth and stories of other lives in general, you will love this.
