In episode 53 you say that you have remained authentic through all the negative comments, but you changed your voice completely you got negative comments for having “vocal fry”. Personally, I never saw an issue with your voice. You sounded real now you sound robotic. How is that staying authentic? I love the content of your podcast, but honestly that robotic voice makes it harder to listen.

There is a lot I really love about the podcast- you guys do such great investigative work and explain it well. You are passionate about standing with victims and standing up for what is right. I have, however, been starting to struggle with the podcast feeling less positive (standing up for what is right, compassion for victims) and more negative (mainly with snarky comments that sometimes hit below the belt). I feel like this has been happening more frequently lately and, this might just be a personal preference, but I hope the tone shifts back more towards exposing the misdeeds and less towards the more petty, low-blow comments. I have been a fan from the very beginning and I really want to be able to keep listening for years to come.

Updated to a 1 star. Completely disgusted how Mandy’s made everything all about her. Hopping on that Hollywood train, verbose about her Hulu show. As GROSS as she waxed poetic about someone’s toes in her episode today. I haven’t added a comment in probably a year, but it seems like everyone has caught on to this girl. I wish I could like all of the other 1 and 2 star rating write ups that have been posted in the last months alone. They say everything I’ve written and noticed since 2021 when I first discovered this podcast. Have I still been listening? Yes, so it’s not all bad. I can take the bad with the good. But Mandy sure hasn’t matured, I don’t see why she chastises Becky for writing a book when she did for fame and publicity as well, and she cried that no journalists support her when she started out her podcast, slamming them to shreds. This is all Mandy dramatic flair, so I’m here for her soap opera, when she whines and quotes herself that she should be believed AS FACT because of“two of the #1 podcasts in the world.” How dreadful! Her rating for this podcast has gone down over the years. Not a great look slamming your industry and other “podcast hacks” like she did. People don’t forget that. And I’m not a journalist, but she should stop with that rhetoric that she is one because obviously she’s completely biased. **It is a huge shame that Mandy’s narcissism overshadows (for me) the good work and reporting she does. After the most recent 5-10 episodes where she humble brags about her public speaking fright and the episode where she told the world Sandy Smith only wanted HER at the gravesite exhumation and not even her own kids, it is so abundantly clear this podcast is ABOUT Mandy and FOR Mandy. I thought she’d mature after her “4.5 years” of reporting on the Murdochs, I don’t see anything like at all. Liz is very eloquent, intelligent, and well-spoken and knows what a reporter’s job is. I don’t continue listening for Mandy but for the facts, storytelling, and victim advocacy. I can respect the work but not the reporter. Liz is an amazing friend. I would listen to her all day. I don’t know how Eric’s hitched his wagon to her in COJ either. There are some other really good reviews that describe my same sentiments too. This is the Mandy show and she comes across as sniveling, narcissistic, and unprofessional.

Please, Mandy, no more body shaming. Even JP’s feet are off limits. You didn’t like the vocal fry comments. Please. You’re better than this.
