Great format with interviews along with photos

I believe this is the best photography podcast out there. Catherine obviously researches her guests which shows a sincere interest in them. Listening to the photographers talk about how they made certain photos while we get to view them on screen is a great learning experience. It's a shame when a guest doesn't get to finish a thought because they are interrupted by Leo when he comes upon some picture and cuts them off with a question about that picture. Even with that complaint, all of the positives about the show outweigh it.. I enjoy the show and am happy that I've learned about many wonderful photographers' work.

Not there yet

This podcast has potential but at the moment it is not there.

Strengths: great guests,
Leo laporte has a significant presence, even though he says its Halls show. His comments are very insightful.
Like the way they show the guests images as they speak and that the guests comments on them. alex linsey was excellent, as usual. He should be on the show more often.
Nice to have a co-host and Hall has potential but....

Weakness: Hall. she is not there yet as an interviewer. It is painful to listen to her ask very scripted basic questions. "What are your settings, etc" She needs to learn to be spontaneous or at least seem to present questions that are scripted as spontaneous. Each week she basically asks the same things that seem like she is reading from a list. It almost seems like she is Leo's puppet.

The interview with jasmine star seemed like the two of them had some antagonism/competition going on. It also seemed like HALL was interviewing herself at times and not Starr. Too much interjection about how she shoots or her feelings.

The best podcast interviewers to date are without a doubt, Ibarionex perello and fred johnson. She should pay some attention to them.

To keep me listening, Hall will have to improve her style and become an interviewer and not a questioner.

Canon, Canon, Canon...

This show is very Canon-centric. Don't bother is you are a Nikon user.
