One of my Favorites
Two Hot Takes is one of my favorite podcasts. I eagerly await new episodes, and listen to them ASAP. Each episode can give you a whole range of emotions, including happiness, sadness, anger, and frustration, so you never really know what each episode is going to bring, which is fun! Also, Morgan and all of her guests are fantastic!
Reviewing in Good Faith
I like the general themes of the show and don’t mind some controversial takes here and there (it’s the point of the show, after all). I have a long commute and this has been a good companion while sitting in traffic for a couple of years now. I’m not subscribed anymore because I was consistently having moments of intense frustration every episode that made me turn it off entirely. The hosts—Morgan, her friends, her guests—would really be helping themselves and their audience if they stopped and fact-checked themselves much, much more often. I know it’s probably hard to edit, but it’s excruciating to listen to people saying things that are untrue, mispronouncing common words, and having full-blown conversations about how they don’t understand something simple (like picking up after dogs). Just pause to Google it, and you’d be doing the listeners a real solid.
Maybe also throw in a content warning if you’re going to be including graphic descriptions of sex—you never know who’s listening or what triggers they might need to be made aware of.
Hoping for the best and will probably listen again sometime in the future!
