Two Nerds and a Guy From Long Island is a bi-weekly comedy podcast that was borne from the attempts of Ricky and Dirk, two life-long proto-nerd friends, to desperately explain the geekier sides of life to their native Long Island pal, Dave.

The results are, well, a mixed bag.

Can Ricky and Dirk explain the phonetic intricacies of Elvish? Why Arrakis is the only place in the galaxy you can get melange? The difference between a Moogle and an Esper? And whether or not Han shot first?

… And does Dave even care? Find out with us!

07 - How to be a man (Rambo: First Blood)

Friend of the podcast, Steve, joins us as Dave takes over and tries to explain to Dirk and Ricky how to be a man. He uses the appropriate film, Rambo: First Blood, as a medium to get across such points as: Which directions should stabbing flow in? How much oil should you use when showing off ripped pecs? And how do you cook ravioli THE RIGHT WAY?

This was probably a huge mistake.

    06 - The Dark Tower (Part 1)

Dave gets REALLY DEEP about THE WORLD.

Something Witty

Unexpectedly hilarious, fun banter, no idea what they are talking about but I love these guys!

Awesome

I don't know how these guys have read so many books, but they all sound terrible, because I tried reading once and I fell asleep for 2 hours at work, no less. Anyway, I'm glad they're here to tell me about books because now I feel like I can talk to girls. There are some hotties at the bookstore where I work at. I just serve coffee though and now I can tell them about Dune. Anyway, thanks for making America great again. Go Eagles!

Really good

Seriously good fun whether you know the week's subject or not. The hosts' banter is off the charts, too. I laugh out loud at work too often. Can't wait for the next episode!
