Good Luck

Can't they find a replacement to carry on your work? That stuff about a state school pedigree is a way for you to justify your decision. The proof is in the pudding and you have been a strong, creative researcher and team leader.

Learned a lot! Great show! Thank you!

I am in my early thirties and have been on the FIRE path for a few years, I always wondered how does it feel like when people retire, and what do people struggle with? Two weeks ago I discovered your podcast. In 2 weeks I listened to every episode so far, and I learned so much!

For future listeners you will learn: how people struggle with intangible things they get from work (sense of purpose, sense of accomplishment, social life, etc), how 4% rule might be too aggressive, your goals and expectations might change by the time you reach retirement if you are younger, how to talk to your partners about money, portfolio diversification and asset positioning, taxes, and healthcare impact on retirement and many other things.

Thank you for making this show, I hope you will continue to do it, and if you ever publish a book based on what you have shared/learned from the show know that there is a demand!

Quality Show

I’m just about to retire, have been in the FI path for several years. This show with one early retired guy and one still working delivers useful content and engaging discussions. Very worthwhile. Recommended.
