In a relatively quiet data calendar, Spanish March consumer price inflation gets some attention. The expectation is for a modest increase in the headline rate and a modest decline in the core rate. However the consensus is built on a relatively small number of forecasts across a relatively wide range of views, so comparisons need to be treated with caution.

UBS On-Air: Paul Donovan Daily Audio 'Invoking debt debacles'
The head of the US Congressional Budget Office issued a warning about US debt sustainability, suggesting an extreme parallel with the debt debacle presided over by former UK Prime Minister Truss. US debt levels are not necessarily a concern (the US could sustain a 150% or even 200% debt-to-GDP ratio if it chose). The problem is the rapid growth in debt—which raises questions about the long-term ability of the US government to service its debt.
Customer Reviews
Very good and entertaining
I enjoy Paul Donovan’s approach and delivery to financial news and I hope that this show will continue as-is for years to come. Well done!
Shocking
The level of ignorance displayed by Paul Donovan on his assessment of the protests in Ireland is shocking and disappointing. It makes me question much of his forecasts as they are undoubtedly derived from the same echo chamber as his ignorant statement regarding the Irish protests.
Please record guests separately!
Substance is great & Dan is the consummate host, but the guest audio is often so static-y and garbled that I just turn it off. Why not have them record on their end and mix the two? Or really anything else… the way you’re doing this just isn’t working, but other pods seem to have figured this out. Thanks very much!
