ubu pod S2E4: Jennifer Fawcett ubu pod

    • Self-Improvement

This is me and my best friend talking about her new book (and our life adventures - we've known each other since 1993. Lived together. Worked together. Traveled together.) The quality of my mic sucks and I'm sorry about that! But if you stick it out, I think the chat is worth it.

Jennifer Fawcett grew up in rural Eastern Ontario and spent many years in Canada making theatre before moving to the United States. She holds an MFA from the Iowa Playwrights Workshop. Her work has been produced in theaters across the country and published in Third Coast Magazine, Reunion: The Dallas Review, Storybrink, and in the anthology Long Story Short from Playwrights Canada Press. Her debut novel, Beneath the Stairs comes out with Atria Books (Simon & Schuster) on February 22, 2022. She teaches writing at Skidmore College and lives in upstate New York with her husband and son.

Here's a link to the song she wrote the words to, and I wrote the music to: November. And you can preorder Beneath The Stairs here!

Intro Music: "Detroit" from how we think about light
Ad Music: "Trees Leave Shadows in the Park" from how we think about light (cover of a Mark Vogelsang song)
Outro Music: "Sprout Through The Load" from See Your Midnight Breath in the Shipyard
