Fast Fingers & An Old Soul: A Conversation With Randy Buckner

Fast Fingers & An Old Soul: A Conversation With Randy Buckner

He's a neighbor of mine, having grown up in this hood and spending most of his life here, but Randy Buckner is a complex package in a disarming disguise. He first picked up a guitar at age 9 and STILL feels the joy of tearing up the strings today as when he began. I've enjoyed our porchside chats, but had no idea he was such a talented musician until the day Dallas Jones told me: "You know that guy, Randy, who just walked by? One of the best guitarists in the whole area." Check it out!

    Where Did You Go?

    Where Did You Go?

In an exchange with my friend & fantastic songwriter Dallas Jones, he was encouraging me to forge on after a separation; I responded with one his own lyrics, stating "I'm gonna put a for sale sign in my heart" and he laughingly sent back the next line "I know puttin' out the sign is the hardest part"; then when I showed up to his next show, he lead with that song. What a guy. But it opened up the question....."where did you go?", and not in terms of the other person, but who YOU are. Let's talk about it.

A Sense Of F**kery....A Conversation With Shea Compton

A Sense Of F**kery....A Conversation With Shea Compton

Shea Compton is the introverted badass owner of Quad Paws Dog Training and a lover of 4 By 4 IPA's. I'd see her come in with her canine clients and could see the results over time of the work she was putting in, so of course I was intrigued. In this VERY EXPLICIT conversation, I learned just how witty and hilarious this quiet soul can be when she chooses to trust you. Lotsa cursing, lotsa inappropriate talk and a great story.....enjoy this conversation with Shea!

Real take on what’s happening now

Listen to Uli’s take on what’s REALLY happening in the life and times of a firefighter/single dad/entrepreneur/beer slinger. The stories and perspective are singular, collective and hilarious.

Great Springfield Podcast

The Real State Podcast is a fun, interesting, and entertaining podcast. I find myself looking forward to the next podcast before the one I’m listening to is even finished. Uli has a genuinely intoxicating personality and keeps his guests and listeners engaged throughout the interview. I love the fact that I feel as though I am at Four By Four having a pint and a meaningful conversation. Keep the creative juices flowing and the rock star list coming.

The Greatest Show on Earth!

Love this show. Uli is a great host who curates interesting guests with great stories to share. And he’s a lot less racist than PT Barnum (see title of the review)!
