Perfect for listening in the car
I'm not a science guy. But I'm constantly asking questions, and I loved hearing some of the questions and answers in this podcast. It's well presented and engineered, Barker's voice is soothing, and I especially loved the humor. It's smart, too, and I really enjoyed it.
The knowledge to describe and the wisdom to be in awe
I love this podcast. It’s easy listening, science, philosophy and poetry all woven together in a way that goes really good with your morning coffee. I am not the biggest science buff but I have never missed an episode of this podcast! His sense of soft, scientific wonder is healing and uplifting in the face of a world deep in turmoil. I would recommend this to ANYONE, science enthusiasts or not.
Top Tier Science Podcast
I've yet to hear a better science podcast on iTunes. Dan expertly describes science concepts in ways that are consistently entertaining and intriguing. Of special note are the "Science with Dan" episodes; these mini-podcasts pose a quick question, explore some consequences, then leave enough space for the listener to ponder what it all means. Doing science is often about the wonder of exploration, and that feeling is well documented here. Highly recommended.
