Historian , author and battlefield preservationist Dennis Frye stated " All history is opinion and subjective." Certainly is the case with this and podcast like this. American history has many layers , most want to stick with what there personal point of view is. Disgarding( ignoring) flaws and ugly truth's that don't fit there perspective. Black history is American history and so is Confederate southern history. I accept all as part of our my history. Always thought it was hypocritical, so many have focused soley on the Confederacy and those who served under it's military service with such a broad brush of evil..... Yet ignore these union war heroes who fought and "freed" the slaves. Went on to massacre Native Americans in the west. It's hard but not impossible to accept our shared history is not so cut and dry morally righteous..
