Struggling With Season 3

I have enjoyed past seasons, but I am struggling a bit with season 3 so far. The reporter seems to consistently be wary of the police, and that narrative seems forced. Other than that I really appreciate the coverage of this, and the sensitive way it is being handled.

The Village

I haven’t listened to S1, was interested in S2, but S3, The Village has me hooked. So much good journalism and podcasting. Thank you telling an important story and doing an excellent job.

Season 3 starts out way biased

To much bias by the narrator against cops so far in season 3, even to multiple interviews said the cops were right there with them. If there is no evidence of foul play, there’s no evidence. Doesn’t mean it didn’t happen, it they can’t lie and say there is evidence when there isn’t.

The cops solved the crime on their own without help from the community. The community had no idea who it was. But sure...blame the cops. They have more vitriol towards the cops than the gay man who actually did the crimes.

Ok so the reporter on season 3 is freaking clueless. Saying they should have arrested a man for multiple murders with no evidence. Can you imagine the outrage of the community if they would have done that?

And now he says it is the cops fault that no one has still come forward with info. If the people had info before, they wasted the cops time by lying and saying they didn’t. Why doesn’t he fault the people who stayed quiet instead of the cops. If the cops kept going back to gay people about it, the community would say they are harassing and only looking at the gay community.
