    Fruta Brutal is a Denver-based Latin-rock group that seamlessly blends styles and genres throughout their compositions. Fruta Brutal’s latest EP, Madre Serpiente, which was co-produced by Grammy Award-winning producer, Mack Major, and Denver-based Neoma producer, Danny Pauta, showcases the band's signature sound. In this episode, Martín talks about drawing influences from the many places he’s lived, including Boulder, New Orleans, and his native Ecuador.

    S2: Lobo Lara

    Lobo Lara is a cumbia duo featuring Lobo Lobo and Chilli Willy. After success with the songs “Paletas”, “Aguas Frescas”, & “Chamoy”; Lobo recruited the collaboration of Chilli Willy for new music. Their newest album “Hijo de la Cumbia” was inspired by musica Sonidera and extraterrestrial life. Through the use of various instruments, the duo were able to capture a sound described as cumbia pesada or electro cumbia. In this episode, Lobo and Chilli Willy offer insight into the Boise-band’s creative process and deep trough of inspirations.
