On an October night in 1996, a gunshot rattles the walls of a double-wide trailer on the outskirts of Rome, Georgia. A 15-year-old boy is killed – and two of his friends are arrested and sentenced to life in prison, where they remain today. An evil teenage plot? Or a blatant miscarriage of justice? In this first season of PROOF, Susan Simpson and Jacinda Davis drive the back roads of Rome, searching for the truth.

A H Stewart ,

Season 1

I can only comment on season 1. The episodes are very detailed and informative. However, the parts explained by Jessica can be very difficult to listen to. She sometimes speaks robotically and the cadence of her voice is distracting.

Extremely Thoughtful, Knowledgeable, and Helpful

I’ve binged my way through tons of content in this genre, and this pod is one of my favorites. I always feel like I’m sitting at the table during a really great conversation. There are many emotion-driven treatments of crime out there, but this one is actually informative, logical, and helpful. If you’d rather learn about legal avenues in actual justice than clutch your pearls, this is your place.

Still unsure

There’s obviously some bias but they make some great points, although i’d like to see it more objective so it’s hard to take in. Colin’s voice is unbearable though which also makes it a bit tough to listen to.
