Relief

Today I had one of those days with my two special needs kids. My sweet husband sent me out of the house when he got home so I could get a breather. I needed something to help me decompress. I searched for a podcast and found this beautiful podcast. I felt like crying as I listened. Not in sadness, but in sweet relief to hear other moms speaking my heart. ❤️

Relieved... I feel normal 😜

I love listening to Ellen and Erin discuss the sweetness and the struggles with having children with disabilities. I talk about them at home as though they are my friends, ha! I often start my sentences with “Well, Erin said...” or “Ellen absolutely feels...” My husband is like, “who are these people?” Ha!

After listening to a podcast I come away feeling normal (oh, that word 😜) and relived that other special needs moms feel the way I do... it gives me hope along with valuable information on topics I haven’t been exposed to yet. I am about 4 years into this special needs game and wish I would have found this podcast sooner.

I would absolutely give it 5 stars, but the sound for some guests is hard to follow... I find myself turning the volume way up and then I jump when Ellen or Erin come back. At times the podcast is a little “all over the place” but so am I 😆 and I kind of like that it shows their real personalities and friendship, but could be a distraction for some people.

Valuable perspective

I’m listening to this as a special education teacher and there’s so much to be gained by getting a parent’s perspective. The hosts are warm, honest and relatable. I look forward to more episodes
