The United States and Australia have an extremely critical relationship that changes how other countries within the Indo-Pacific understand the power dynamic with China. The dilemma, is not pissing-off other countries and their agreements, wants, or needs to make sure they do not give up on their efforts and run to China. What I mean by that is the underlying grey area or grey-zone activities that are able to be leveraged to encircle China and displaying to other countries that their economies do not need to be so dependent on a singular country. The challenge with that is not only infinite thinking, but altering the status quo, and also proving that the United States and Australia will have their backs no matter what. This is where the United States and Australia’s relationship could truly flourish.
