Episode 80: Unmasking the Journey of Brandon Puffer - From the Bullpen to the State Pen

Today, I am excited to share my conversation with former major league pitcher Brandon Puffer. Brandon spent four seasons in the big leagues before heading back down to double A ball where he was being groomed to be a coach. But a night of bad decisions out with the team celebrating a victory ultimately sent him from the bullpen to the state pen. That also happens to be the title of his new book. We talk about his road to recovery, the lessons he shares in the book, and how ultimately Jesus was able to bring healing to his life.

Fantastic Show

As a devoted podcast enthusiast, I've experienced a multitude of audio gems, but none have captured my imagination and stirred my emotions quite like "Unmasked." From the very first episode, this captivating podcast has taken me on a mesmerizing journey into the deepest recesses of the human soul, leaving me spellbound and craving for more.

Hosted Neil Getzlow by a brilliant storyteller, "Unmasked" effortlessly blends masterful narration with a distinctive flair for bringing real-life stories to life. Each episode unearths profound, yet often overlooked aspects of the human experience, peeling back the layers that hide our true selves, and revealing the raw, unfiltered emotions that lie within us all.

What sets "Unmasked" apart from other podcasts is its ingenious ability to explore a diverse range of topics, seamlessly moving from gripping personal tales of resilience and triumph to contemplative discussions on societal issues and philosophical musings. Whether it's an emotional exploration of loss and love, a deep dive into the complexities of human behavior, or an inspiring account of overcoming adversities, every episode leaves an indelible mark on the heart and mind of the listener.

Moreover, the host Neil’s ability to conduct thoughtful interviews with a wide array of guests is commendable.

One aspect that I particularly admire about "Unmasked" is its unabashed honesty. The podcast isn't afraid to tackle sensitive topics, nor does it shy away from exploring the darker aspects of human nature.

It confronts these themes head-on, providing a safe space for listeners to grapple with their emotions and emerge with a deeper understanding of themselves and the world around them.

In conclusion, "Unmasked" is an extraordinary podcast that sets a new standard for storytelling in the digital age. It is a testament to the power of audio to move, inspire, and transform.

If you're looking for a profound, soul-stirring journey that will leave you both vulnerable and empowered, "Unmasked" is an absolute must-listen. Prepare to be captivated, uplifted, and forever changed by this exceptional podcast.

Honest Vibrant Open Discussion of Error, Forgiveness and Change.

This podcast is riveting. Neil Getzlow decided to write a book Unmasked about having his mask torn off and deciding to change the crazy lying way he was living. Not enough to help ones who read it, he also decided to start a podcast! Some discussion of why it happened, helpful therapy, faith and forgiveness by God and his spouse are presented. Amazing how a marriage may survive a horrible storm. Worth a listen whether ‘these’ are your issues or not. After Episode 1 & 2 look for another interesting or more relevant issue to see how someone got out of their crazy way of life involving that. I like this approach. The author is not judgmental, nor does he come off as ‘There is one way only to recovery.’ I like that he was turned around! Faith is how change happens for many who want out of addiction but stories run the gamut of problems and workable solutions.
