    Boundaries With The Boundary Boss

    Boundaries With The Boundary Boss

Hold onto your hats, Podsters, our guest Barb Nangle is about to rock your world with her boundary wisdom.

We are always showing people how to treat us by either setting or not setting boundaries for ourselves. If you're just starting to set healthy boundaries - or as Barb refers to them, standards - know that it's an exploration into what you do and do not want. Setting boundaries is a choice, although that choice may not be fun, it may be the right way to take care of your needs. And when you choose to take care of your needs, you can live a life of freedom, peace, and serenity.

Isms, Syndromes, and media-inspired "trends" in the workplace: ENOUGH already!!

Isms, Syndromes, and media-inspired "trends" in the workplace: ENOUGH already!!

It seems every professional challenge gets a special label these days - quiet quitting, quiet firing, the great resignation, the great reinvention, the great re-evaluation, and now.... resenteeism. Not to mention Imposter Syndrome. What??

The media thrives on sensationalizing everything and manipulating an audience still raw from the past three years. We call BS!

These labels are simply life - the difficult spots you have to navigate whether you slap a title on them or not.

Join us as we discuss why people are drawn to these labels and how you can deal with them, either as a bystander or as someone dealing with one or more of these difficult situations. Situations. Not syndromes.

Waiting for the Shoe to Drop and How to Embrace Joy

Waiting for the Shoe to Drop and How to Embrace Joy

"I don't want to jinx myself". "Oh it's not that big of a deal". "Thank you, I'm not sure how long it will last". Sound familiar?

You've said it, we've said it and the sad part is - we will continue to have these self-defeating thoughts rather than truly embrace the joy in our lives.

Why do we hold ourselves back? Why do we think that something bad must be coming after something good? That trepidation you are feeling is a basic human emotion. Fear.

Fear of losing what we have gained. Fear of being judged for our success. Fear that the joy we are feeling is temporary and will be followed by pain or loss.

To fully experience joy we must be vulnerable. We must be present. And we must remember that everything is temporary.

Relevant, real world information

With Nancy, what you see is what you get. While other podcasts bring platitudes and impossibly big tasks, Nancy brings her trademark authenticity and experience to the audience.

Nancy is an advocate for women by teaching us practical ways to advocate for ourselves. She suggests small changes that make a big difference- from eliminating self-defeating language from our business discourse to negotiation skills, and more.

Highly recommend the podcast and her book!
