Comedians Liz Miele and Maria Shehata talk about health, their bodies and life with little to no accuracy. It is personal and funny, but if it is informative - that’s just an unfortunate side effect. Privacy is not on the table, and they take real issues and silly phobias and have fun with all of it. They discuss the little-known neurological disorder Misophonia, that causes sufferers (Maria) to hate something as seemingly inoffensive as gum chewing, Liz opens up about her depression, a disease that runs in Liz’s family that she currently fears will come back the longer she shares a small studio with her boyfriend. As well as psoriasis, weight gain, whether or not vitamins are real, and can we please continue not hugging people after the outbreak is over? These non-doctors helped me get through the lockdown back in the day. They’re very funny and upfront about their lack of medical knowledge rather than presenting themselves as experts like a lot of the yahoos you run into these days. I really like their show, and would like to see them succeed~

02/2024 review: I stayed subscribed and they came back!! So great!! I love the precise use of language and the real stories. Always a laugh, thanks for being real!! Old pandemic review: Always fun to see a new episode pop up. I usually listen and laugh as I walk around the local pond after sitting alone in my room all day clicking and clicking and clicking on the keyboard. Lots to be thankful for including this excellent show!! Thank you!! Keep it up!!

These two comics are such a joy. I’ve been listening to them almost since the beginning and they have helped open my eyes to so much. I can’t thank them enough for allowing me to travel with them down this journey. They banter and love for each other is wildly evident, and it makes me wish I had more people like them in my life. Every episode seems to help me realize more about my own life and well-being. Sometimes forcing me to face a hard truth. But it’s always in the name of helping people get better, whether that’s physically, emotionally, or even as simple as possible eating better. Do yourself a favor and find a way to as these medical novices a place in your podcast rotation, and your hearts.
