Vegan Warrior Princesses Attack! is a podcast with in-depth, firey discussions of social justice issues by two modern day vegan warrior princesses. Taking a pro-intersectional approach to their activism, Callie and Nichole “attack” a wide range of topics from an anti-capitalist, feminist, anarchist, vegan perspective. Episodes can cover anything from why everyone should be anti-mass incarceration to why the movie Interstellar is a sexist, pro-colonialist piece of garbage. We talk dating advice, boundaries, consent culture, advocating for yourself and your ethics, how to build community, and doing vegan activism in a way that is not oppressive. Plus, rants, tangents, dad jokes and more from two hilariously and unapologetically angry women.

Two Smart Vegans

I love these ladies because they not only discuss vegan issues, but they speak on ALL issues related to those who have been marginalized. As POC, one of my biggest beefs (no pun intended) with veganism is that it reminds me of the feminist movement. It seems that the community is concerned about the animals, but fails to see the constant threat POC and the lgbtq communities are undergoing at this time. Their podcast on food insecurity really hit home to me. I love these ladies and hope they will continue for a long time.

Great podcast for intersectionalist prune fans.

Raisins are gross. This podcast is on point tho.

The Only Podcast I Enjoy

I discovered VWPA whilst on a solo road trip. I was heading back to Arizona from Seattle, and had exhausted my entire music playlist (as well as an entire 11 hour audiobook). I tried listening to a few different podcasts thinking that it would help pass the time, but they were just so boring I couldn’t get through more than 10 minutes. Until. *enter Callie and Nichole* my life was changed. Entertaining, insightful, thoughtful, compassionate, considerate. These are just a few of the words I’d use to describe these humans. Each episode I listen to (and at this point I think I’ve gotten through about half) my brain is filled with things that make me happy and I feel such relief that there are people out there who share the same ideas that I have. I love structure so I greatly appreciate the format of this show basically always following the same agenda. Anyways, I love VWPA and that is all.
