Great story Tom! Very detailed and interesting to hear the investigative side of the case. No doubt in my mind, you built a good foundation of investigative skills as a street cop! I would have enjoyed working on your team with you as I did many years earlier on the mat. Good job, be proud!

Icky language

I was really into it until he used the sentence, “dregs who live off public assistance,” to describe a place where a suspect was. I know this guy was probably not hanging out in the most savory places, but something felt icky about putting the “public assistance” in there. Just my thoughts.
