Two Monday morning cage fighters that love all things MMA. Raf is a freelance MMA writer/Comedian/MMA practitioner located out in sunny LA. Kevin is a Comedian/MMA Practitioner living out in sunny Denver, Co. Together they are analyzing fights, mocking each other, and keeping everyone humorously in tune with the world of MMA. Listen to one, you'll be sure to download more.
Verbal Tap (Ep. 474) w/ Dom Hoskins
Please go be a part of the movement with coach Dom Hoskins. Donate @dominat10n and support him all over the place. We had a blast talking to Dom from the serious to the comical, and he'll be back for sure. Listen in.
Verbal Tap (Ep. 473) Meg He: Making Jiu-Jitsu Gyms Safer
Meg He joints the show to offer much needed guidance on jiu-jitsu and how to keep gyms safe and conscious about sexual assault. This is a problem of when, not if, and we must bond together to be proactive. Meg is also amazing, and you should check out everything she does: https://linktr.ee/meghe. Please listen, we really valued the conversation with Meg.
Verbal Tap (Ep. 472) Tyron Woodley vs. Jake Paul and TUF!!
The episode starts with some questions about the Jake Paul Tyron Woodley fight, and ends with some applause for the UFC for going back to social distancing (we think thats why they didn't have fans, we're not sure). Tune in for some UFC updates and speculation around if boxing is a real thing. Cheers!
Verbal Tap (Ep. 471) All things MMA / Grappling Headlines & Fast 9!
Listen in, as the guys digest a complicated week in combat sports. From some harsh stories to some light ones, Verbal Tap remains committed to reporting on the entire sport. We even kinda watched Fast 9 and Summer Slam.
Verbal Tap (Ep. 470) with Averi Clements on Sexual Assault Awareness in The Jiu Jitsu Community
It has been an informative and tough week in the grappling and jiu-jitsu community. We have Averi Clements on to help us navigate the entire story. She and the folks at JiuJitsu Times have really put the work in. Journalism doesn't get the credit it deserves when its done well, it only gets the spotlight. We stand with the integrity of their reporting and the substance of this interview. We did try to bring some fun to an extremely tough topic, and apologize if doing so in any way takes away from the seriousness of the subject matter. (TRIGGER WARNING: episode contains sensitive material related to sexual assault that you may want to skip) Please report your story to the JiuJitsu Times if you've experienced harassment.
Verbal Tap (Ep. 469) The Dream Team of Grappling w/ Hunter Colvin
We have Hunter Colvin back on the show fresh after answering the call to fight for his country on about 24 hours notice. He recaps the event, the how it happened, and the emotions as he fought for Team USA. Then, we have a bet to settle. UFC 265 in all its glory and we recap what we could. Listen in, Hunter is at the top of the game.
Original, funny,Smart mma content - a must listen if you are not a dumb ass———
My favorite comedy podcast about MMA and BJJ. Raf and Kevin might be purple belts in Jiu Jitsu but they’re black belts in comedy.
This is an amazing show with knowledgeable and funny hosts. Although I am not a podcaster I enjoyed listening and will be listening again.
