George Washington: (Almost) Our First Zombie President

Gerald Ford: Underrated, Or Over His Head?

He pardoned a disgraced president, was nearly gunned down by a member of the Manson Family, and once taped a polarizing SNL introduction… And yet, Gerald Ford’s legacy is largely that of a nice guy — not a scandal magnet. How exactly did the moderate everyman survive the White House?

    Andrew Johnson: The Drunken Demagogue

    Andrew Johnson: The Drunken Demagogue

He was the follow-up act no one wanted: Johnson took office after Lincoln was assassinated, and spent his presidency making every sloppy, chaotic move he was capable of. Franklin Delano Roosevelt: 12 Years In Power

Franklin Delano Roosevelt: 12 Years In Power

FDR was president for over a decade — plenty of time to curate a rotating cast of love interests, including the Princess of Norway and his own daughter-in-law. But if the White House living arrangements were made somewhat awkward by his constant need for companionship, FDR didn’t seem to notice. He was busy handling crisis after crisis… and manufacturing a few of his own, too.

Great information

These are really interesting. I think some listeners will have a hard time hearing that our leaders & history is not the romantic self sacrificing stories we have been taught. These stories help add information & challenge the idea that our presidents are only “good patriots”
focusing on what is best for our country.

Very Presidential Podcast

Fantastically researched podcast. Grover Cleveland-the rapist? Amazing. I am a nerd about Presidential history and this gave great insight to a previously unknown president. Thanks and keep up the good work
