This is the podcast for moms who want incredible health so they can live an amazing life. Your health is the greatest gift you can give yourself and your family… It breathes life into your every day, your dreams and your contribution. If you're tired of self-sabotaging, feeling stuck and drowning in overwhelm - and want to create more space, time and peace for the things that matter most - then you're in the right place!
104. Using Intuition to Confidently Make Decisions and Move Forward
I feel like there are a lot of you out there that spend too long spinning in indecision. Indecision ends up being a holding pattern because you're not moving forward - either saying yes or no - because of your fear of making the 'wrong' decision.
There are no 'wrong' decisions.
There are only opportunities to grow.
I made a really big decision this week and wanted to walk you through the process of how I came to my decision and how I dealt with all the brain DRAMA.
Even when you listen to your gut, there's still drama!
I'll see you there! Xo, Janeen

103. Mirroring and Listening Hard
Have you ever noticed that you mirror the people who are around you? When someone is happy or sad, it's contagious, right?
That's called mirroring and it's something we innately do as human beings. It's a way we connect with others and normally it can be super helpful - except when it's not.
And it's not helpful when someone is modeling less-than-ideal behavior, like they're yelling for example, and we mirror that.
On this week's podcast, I'm talking about how to STOP mirroring other people and to really listen to what they are saying so we stay in control and show up intentionally.
These are two tools I have learned that have been GAME-CHANGING for me. Join me!
I'll see you there! Xo, Janeen

102. Tradition and Family
What does tradition mean to you? What does it mean in your overall sense of well-being? When you look forward to holiday events with your family or friends, what are your over-arching emotions? Do you feel peace and excitement or do you feel a sense or dread or obligation to be there? Why? Join me as we get into the topic of traditions and family and what they mean and what we WANT them to mean. Because, in truth, traditions are optional - so let's make sure we show up intentionally. I'll see you inside the show! Xo, Janeen For show notes: www.janeenalley.com/102
101. How to Rest (and Why It's So Important) with Kristine Whittle
I'm so excited to have my friend and Restorative Yoga teacher, Kristine Whittle, on the podcast today talking about the importance of rest.
Rest is different than sleep and it is so important! Particularly at this time, when we're all buzzing with a higher-than-normal baseline of stress if we're not careful and intentional about allowing our Sympathetic Nervous System to get a break.
We talk about HOW to rest and how to fit it in when life feels busy and full. I'll see you there! Xo, Janeen

100. Courage and Grit
You know the drill: You set a goal. Write it down. Follow through... or you try to follow through.
Often times, our momentum wanes and we get stuck or fall off the wagon. And we get so darn frustrated!
You want in on the secret sauce of sticking with it and reaching your goal?
Courage and grit.
Because EVEN IF we had the perfect plan or a step-by-step manual for how to accomplish a goal (which we often don't), but even if we did, we'd still have to apply courage and grit.
Because we're human and we distracted by shiny objects and brownies.
If you want to know what this looks like in a real-life example, I share it all on the podcast today - all about COURAGE and GRIT!
I'll see you inside! Xo, Janeen

99. Fermented Foods, Juicing, and Fall Dinners (Gut Health, part 3)
Join me, as we finish up our series on gut health (this is part 3 of 3).
We are specifically talking about the importance of incorporating fermented foods into your diet to take it to the next level - and, of course, some of the most delicious and popular fermented foods out there for you to try.
We're also discussing juicing - and why it's NOT the best use of your money or time for optimum health.
At the end, I share a little behind-the-scenes for some of my favorite fall menus and some Halloween tips.
Happy fall, ya'll! I'll see you inside!
