    In the beginning, the Bible says Adam and Eve were “naked and not ashamed.” This wasn’t just about physical nakedness—it was about vulnerability. They were fully seen, fully known, and fully accepted. No armor. No hiding. No fear of judgment. Today, many of us live differently. We wear emotional armor in our relationships. We guard our hearts. We brace for criticism. We fear being misunderstood. But God’s original design for marriage was built on trust, safety, and honor. Biblical love (agape) is not based on feelings—it’s based on decision and action. Love is something you do, not just something you feel. Feelings can fade, but intentional love builds strength over time. Scripture calls husbands to love, honor, nourish, and understand their wives. It warns against bitterness and harshness. Why? Because whatever you plant in a relationship will grow. If you plant honor, you reap closeness. If you plant bitterness, you reap distance. Marriage is not a contract built on convenience—it’s a covenant built on commitment. When we choose grace over criticism, understanding over assumption, and honor over selfishness, we reflect the heart of God.

    Marriage, Sex, & Misfits pt 2

    Relationships are the true wealth of our lives. Not possessions. Not status. Not success. When everything else fades, what remains are the people we loved—and how we loved them. From the beginning, God designed marriage as a reflection of His image. Male and female, equal in value, created to collaborate, build, and reflect His nature in the earth. Marriage was never meant to be domination or competition. It was designed as covenant partnership. In a culture where relationships often break under pressure, God calls us back to His original blueprint—maturity, responsibility, honor, and sacrificial love. A husband’s leadership is not control; it is Christlike love. A wife’s submission is not inferiority; it is voluntary partnership rooted in trust. Both are called to protect one another’s dignity. We often think love is just a feeling. But biblical love (agape) is a decision to do what is right for the other person—even when it costs us. Real love builds. Real love protects. Real love heals. Strong marriages don’t happen by accident. They are built through identity in Christ, emotional maturity, boundaries, and covenant commitment. If we want to see culture restored, it begins in our homes.

    From the very beginning, God established identity before responsibility, worth before work, and relationship before rules. When He created humanity in His image, He declared something powerful: you are enough because you come from Him. Before Adam and Eve sinned, the Bible says they were “naked and not ashamed.” There was no hiding, no insecurity, no comparison. Their identity was secure. Their purpose was clear. Shame only entered after sin—but even then, God covered them. Grace stepped in. Many of us live trying to become “enough.” Enough for culture. Enough for marriage. Enough for approval. Enough for God. But striving to be enough often reveals that we don’t believe we already are. When we don’t know we’re enough in God, we look to other people to complete us. We expect a spouse to validate us. We expect relationships to heal our insecurity. We expect success to quiet our doubts. Yet no human being can carry the weight of giving us identity. That position belongs to God alone. Today, rest in this truth: You were made in God’s image. You are covered by grace. You have purpose and position. You are already enough. When you truly believe that, you stop striving for validation and start living from security.

    Friends Not Fans

    God did not design us to walk through life alone. While culture celebrates fans—people who cheer from a distance—God calls us into covenant friendships marked by loyalty, love, and faithfulness. The relationship between David and Jonathan shows us that true friendship goes beyond convenience or admiration. Their hearts were knitted together, rooted in God’s purpose, and tested through adversity. A godly friend is someone who sharpens you, protects you, tells you the truth, and walks with you through both victory and adversity. These relationships require time, intentionality, humility, and transparency. They are not based on what someone can get from you, but on mutual commitment and shared faith in God. You were not only created to have friends—you were created to be one. When you choose to love selflessly, show up consistently, and honor others above yourself, God uses your friendships to strengthen your faith and fulfill His purpose in your life.

    Do You Care?

    Caring is at the center of our walk with God. What we care about reveals where our heart is anchored. Peter’s life shows us that caring for Jesus wasn’t always consistent—he walked on water, denied Christ, and later became a shepherd of God’s people. His journey reminds us that faith is not about perfection, but persistence. Peter learned that true greatness comes from humility and surrender. He discovered that carrying his fears, pride, and anxieties only weighed him down. When he finally learned to cast his cares on Jesus, he became a leader who could shepherd others with compassion and courage. God invites us into the same process. He asks us to release control of our cares, lay down our burdens, and trust that He genuinely cares for us. When we cast our cares on Him, we make room for His peace, His guidance, and His transforming power.

    True greatness is rarely loud or celebrated. In God’s kingdom, greatness is found in living with purpose, integrity, and a clear understanding of who you are in Him. The world often praises fame, wealth, and influence, but God honors faithfulness, humility, and obedience—especially when no one else is watching. You were created in the image of God. That identity gives you value apart from success, appearance, or status. When you live from that truth, you don’t need to chase approval or compare yourself to others. Integrity then becomes your guide—being true to God and true to yourself. Prayer keeps this perspective alive. It’s not a performance, but a real, ongoing conversation with God that keeps your heart awake and aligned with His purpose. Contentment in God doesn’t mean settling or giving up on growth; it means resting in who you are while continuing to move forward in what God has called you to do.

Living A Life of Greatness is not measured by success, influence, or wealth, but by character. God has been working in your life through a process, shaping you, planting seeds, and preparing you long before you recognized it. When you understand that you are God’s workmanship, you stop comparing yourself to others and start trusting what He has placed within you.
