    We all have stuff going on - it happens! Remember last week's podcast where I was all bandaged up? This week I had some reconstructive surgery and am getting in some much needed recovery time.
    BUT I wanted all of the loyal listeners of the Toddcast know that I haven't forgotten about you.  This week we released a bonus episode about overcoming adversity...something that many people are struggling with right now. I talk to Jim Huffman who runs an agency called GrowthHit and is a Techstars Mentor.
    He recently faced the some of the hardest days of his career when his agency lost $400k ARR in 48 hours, he tested positive for COVID19, and all without having childcare. Silver lining: They ended up clawing back to $250k ARR in the just a few weeks. I hope this story of resiliency inspires others and is a reminder that even when it seems like all is lost, how you decide to face adversity will ultimately determine the outcome.

Awesome, useful content

I’m a marketer and a fan of podcasts and audio learning. At work, I’m bombarded by vendors trying to engage me through webinars. I love learning so when I sign up for a webinar topic I hope to learn from, I find many of them are just fluff and the message is clearly not customer-centric so I get a bit jaded, I must confess. Marketing Mastery Video is a pleasure to listen to. I heard Todd do a talk at a conference and he was 200% engaging so I figured his podcasts were too. And guess what? His podcasts are just as engaging because he's a great interviewer--sincere, genuine, real, and good at creating an organic, dynamic conversation with his interviewee. So if you don't have much time but still want to carve out some of your valuable time to learn about marketing, Marketing Mastery Video with Todd Hartley is it. Highly recommend.

What filmmakers need to hear

As a filmmaker, making films is easier to do because of the technology(still hard, but easier), but how do you stand out? I discovered this podcast last week and holy cow I wish I found about it sooner. Just listening to Todd’s knowledge, it has given me many creative ideas on how to strategize and market my personal films and videos. Todd keep doing on what your doing, you need to write a book.
