    The Hell With NPR

    The Hell With NPR

A break from the ranting, raving, and loud voices of the past week, as I try to make sense out of NPR and their disappointment that a black woman did not become Mayor of Boston, instead of celebrating the victory of the first Asian-American female to win the election. I also talk a bit about race and how anyone who is not part of the white progressive left is a racist. I give my views on the failed murder trials, one that has caused angst, one that has gone unreported in the National media. And who exactly are all the demonstrators and protesters we see at any major event, from Free Britney to the Wisconsin trial, the COP26, and others. And finally a Thanksgiving message to so many unknown people who keep America running! Come back next Monday for the next episode of Views on the News. Happy Thanksgiving!!!

    Covid Protests Rock EU

    Covid Protests Rock EU

Today's episode begins with a look at the recent Covid protests that have rocked the EU, as well as some staggering and frightening new Covid numbers from that region. We look at the black market trafficking of baby Cheetahs and counter that story with what Australians are trying to do in order to determine what makes a laying hen happy (I kid you not!). Want to buy a house for about a dollar? We have the details here. Stores are using decoys to make you think their shelves are fully stocked, and learn of a top-secret port project by the Chinese in the UAE. Finally, we take a look at the future of glitter, as eco-glitter is developed where else but in Australia! Another fun show, and come back tomorrow for the weekly My Two Cents opinion episode – lots has gone on this week!

    Those Funky Tasting French Fries

    Those Funky Tasting French Fries

Today we examine why many of us are experiencing funky flavored french fries, as well as one of the newest trends in the black market. We look at a new IPO for a restaurant chain, as well as heading down to the Atacama Desert in Chile to take a look at their solar farm and to whom they are exporting all this energy. We look at the King Parrot and realize that backyard birdbaths and bird feeders may be the cause of their problems. There is a love triangle on the campus of UC Barkley, and how a European Food Forum has been accused of being too Pro-Italian (I did not see a problem with this!). Come back tomorrow as we look at more unreported or underreported stories from around the world.

What a great find!

Snapshots is a fantastic podcast. I enjoy Blaine’s approach to the material. I feel like I’m listening to a modern-day Paul Harvey. There’s no cynicism and no agenda. It’s just a fun and informative addition to my week.

Fun trivia podcast!

This is such a fun and educational podcast! The host Blaine does a great job. I enjoy the short bits of info, trivia, and book recommendation. It’s fun hearing about things I’ve never heard or new about - like the history behind the parking meter! You’ll learn something through this show!
