    Larry McKenna has some deep roots both in New Zealand wine and the Wairarapa. He was part of establishing Martinborough as one of NZ's premium wine regions in the early 1980s while at Martinborough Vineyards. In the late 90s he was part of the development of the new appellation , Te Muna Road while starting his own operation at Escarpment.
