    Are Religious Sisters Friends?

    Are Religious Sisters Friends?

The news of the day dives in on a curious student's question to a Religious Sister, "Are you all friends?" Living in a religious community has its sacrifices and joys but at the end of the day, they all have one goal. To understand this better we invited Sr. Anthony Mary Diago, RSM to share her story of the eternal love of God and the joy of giving herself to Christ in every aspect of her life.

    Benedictines and Religious Brothers Day

    Benedictines and Religious Brothers Day

Who are the Benedictines? They were founded in AD 529 by St. Benedict. This rule has proved to be a guide for countless souls for 15 centuries. Our very special guest, Br. Leven Harton, gives us an inside look into the Benedictine monks and his role as a religious brother and prior for the monastery. May 1st is Religious Brother’s Day. If you know a religious brother, please reach out to him. Let him know you are praying for him. Send him a card, maybe even a small donation for the monastery.

    Who are the Jesuits?

    Who are the Jesuits?

We have a very special treat for you in this episode! Fr. Robert Murphy is a Jesuit in Houston, TX and his community participated in Behind the Habit: A Virtual Look into Religious Life for Men. Fr. Murphy attended a Jesuit High School in New Orleans, and his parents gave him the freedom to follow God’s path and encouraged him to follow the faith. He first considered the priesthood as an altar server in middle school and later attended college for physical therapy and worked 3 years until he entered the Jesuits in 2003.
An interesting statistic from CARA: Nearly 50% of the newly ordained attended a Catholic elementary or middle school and about 40% attended a Catholic high school.

    Family and Vocations

    Family and Vocations

Family support plays a crucial role in religious vocations. Sr. M. Ignatia Hennebery, O.S.F., our guest in this episode, shares how her family helped her answer the call by regularly doing small things. They started adoration at their parish, prayed together, had a family home enthronement to the Sacred Heart, and parents gave blessings before bed. Share how your family helped you on your vocational journey?

Lori Leg ,

Super informative

Hi Rhonda,
I am so loving these podcasts! Our church started a vocations ministry last June. We are following your “recipe “ in the Hundredfold book but these podcasts are the perfect compliment to the book! Thank you for promoting vocations and spreading the word across the nation! From this Connecticut woman.....God Bless you. Hope to meet you in person one day!

Vocations Today with Gruenewald

This was a wonderful podcast. I really enjoyed listening to it on my lunch break today. Rhonda speaks eloquently about today’s vocations and in this podcast she provides biographical information about her personal life and what brought her to the Church. The podcast was ended with a beautiful prayer. I’m anxiously awaiting the next podcast and I admire her devotion / dedication to the Catholic Faith.
