From one sister to another

In 2006 my brother was murdered and dumped in a desert. I vaguely remember when this story was happening. I came across your TikTok and since then have been doing so much research.

I was the only one pushing the detectives on my brothers case. 12 years later we got an arrest and a plea bargain. Your podcast has brought so many feelings back, and I find myself cheering you on each time I see/hear something.

I am so proud of you and feel so much for you. Keep up the great work.

The dead cannot cry out for justice. It’s a duty of the living to do so for them. 💙

The best true crime podcast there is.

I'm not hugely into true crime media. But when I find a podcast like Sarah's I'm reminded what tugs at me about these tragic stories. It's not merely about plumbing the depths that human suffering can reach, although the perspective and compassion that engenders is very valuable to me. For me, it's really about witnessing the unimaginable strength humans possess that allows them to persist despite experiencing the most heart wrenching tragedies. I am in awe of people like Sarah who maintain such a tenderness, a dedication to helping others, and such courage to pursue justice despite all that life's thrown their way. It gives me hope and helps me believe in my own strength. Sarah tells her own story, Alissa's story, and other victims' stories with such compassion and sensitivity. I'm frequently brought to tears listening to VFJ. It's strange how sometimes such dark and devastating things can also possess a kind of beauty, a sense of sorrowful awe that can at once both break our hearts and put them back together.

I highly recommend Sarah's podcast for anyone who values the presence of humanity and compassion in the retelling of stories of horrific crimes.

Awesome

What a brave, determined, wonderful sister you are, Sarah, plus an awesome storyteller. I can’t imagine the pain and trauma in your life and your ability to rise above it enough to function productively is inspiring. Based on the quality of this podcast, it seems you have clearly found your niche, Sarah!
