5 stars from a fellow Hapa sister

Love the realness and sincerity of CK and this podcast. She’s got good advice, tips and love. I can relate being hapa and growing up in an area with very few. Keep up the great work girl!

A Favorite!

I don’t know how to not go full fan girl over Candice. She is authentic and straightforward; a true mover and shaker. I love her advice and earnest storytelling. She is inspiring while also being so down to earth. I listen to her on my commute to give me some much needed drive to tackle my day with a sense of power and grit. I also must recommend her book as an obvious companion to the podcast. Both works are so immeasurably valuable!

Take the high road

Episode 35 is soo relevant to me now. At work, my coworker unloaded on me about my punctuality messing with his life, and I wasn’t feeling his words at the time. It’s been bothering me and I was thinking of telling him something about his selfishness but after listening to your podcast episode 35 it reaffirmed my silent reaction. He doesn’t know all the details of my situation that day, family emergency. It wasn’t worth the effort to argue back and forth. “Silence Is Golden.”
I also loved your quote about confidence being a muscle and how to build it up. All the tips you mentioned I’m typing in my phone.
“Take a deep breath” is something that makes so much sense and is so easy, I want to remember what the high road looks like.
Thank you for your insight on dealing with people Ms. Kumai! This episode was full of gold!
