Guest Bio: Rosie Reid has been teaching English and English Language Development for 19 years. She was named 2019 California Teacher of the Year and received a 2020 Teaching Tolerance Excellence in Teaching award for her work promoting equity in and outside the classroom. Whether she is teaching ELD, grade level English, or IB English, social justice is at the heart of her lessons. Her experience as a mom of a multiracial family with a range of sexualities and academic abilities and affinities has heightened her awareness of issues of equity and justice.
