What I wish firesides were like.

This podcast played a big part in finding hope after I had left the church, especially when they’re is so much negativity about and in the ex-mormon world, which I now find comfort and peace in. The podcast crew is simultaneously heartfelt, light, and insightful, and you can tell they want a plurality of views represented.

Exceptional & real

Love this entire podcast series. Provides practical advice with personal accounts of struggle and overcoming the hurdles associated with leaving not only a religion, but for many, an entire social structure. I am Impressed on the focus of HOW to leave and what to expect, without focusing on the WHY (since this is different for each individual). The panel participants provide a variety of reasonable methods for effective coping, anticipating your own feelings and the feelings/reactions of family, friends and spouse. Excellent examples for articulating many points of view to others in a non confrontational way.

Never was Mormon, but This is Relateable

I was raised Baptist and left the Evangelical Baptist church/movement in my 20s (20 years ago). This podcast is very relatable. I think anyone who has left a culture/lifestyle that encompassed every aspect of life will be able to relate to this, as we have the experience of losing almost everything.
