I love this podcast. The amount of work and effort that is done to bring so many great classics to DVD and Blu-ray is very commendable. Physical media is still better for many reason, particularly because there are some films that haven’t even been released on VHS, so their work is still a very important aspect in Home Media Collecting. Keep it up you guys!

Ever wonder why ‘Seven Brides for Seven Brothers’ is available on Seven different DVD offerings? Is the feature film on those products all equal? If not, how do they differ? Which is highest quality? Is the pricier Blu-Ray better still? Are any of these versions better than what I can see on TCM? This podcast answers all those questions with simple technical explanations. This is ultimately a promotional vehicle for Warner Archive which takes great care to release only best-in-class versions of films from many different studios. By listening to this podcast you will understand why their Blu-Ray and DVD releases are different (better) than previous releases and then you can make up your own mind on this important issue... How do you want to see and own ‘Seven Brides for Seven Brothers’: -Warner Archive Blu-Ray -Warner Archive DVD -Turner Classic Movies TV Channel -Legacy DVD I also enjoy the witty banter of the three hosts. They don’t talk just to talk. They each have something useful to add. Keep it up, Warner Archive. We love you! Sincerely, Chili Steve —— End of Warner Archive Review —— A Related Podcast Recommendation... I got my feet wet on preservation and technical issues with this podcast but the master class in these issues is at the Nitrateville Radio Podcast. It is not a commercial podcast but just driven by passionate film lovers.

I just started listening to this podcast due to the release of the new Tex Avery blu ray set. The podcast is informative and entertaining. Please keep releasing more classic cartoons on blu ray, particularly Tex Avery, Tom and Jerry, and Looney Tunes. They are treasures of American history. Glad to see them being made available in high definition in all their Technicolor glory!
Phenomenal Podcast

I am so happy we got the Tex Avery Screwball Classics Volume 1 Blu-ray and can’t wait for more. These look better then ever. They look gorgeous. Far better then the Turner Prints and the Terrible Laserdisc Prints. This podcast is very informative. Hope WarnerArchive can release more classic cartoons. Particularly Tex Avery MGM Cartoons, Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry. Barney Bear would be a treat too. Also please do not omit cartoons like Uncle Tom’s Cabana and Half-Pint Pygmy. They aren’t offensive. Also if you release a Tom and Jerry Golden Collection Volume 2, you should the use the remastered prints you have already made for Polka Dot Puss up to Life With Tom and just remaster Mouse Cleaning and Casanova Cat and don’t omit them please
