    Episode 40: Undertale

    Episode 40: Undertale

Undertale is the darling game that came to be when a die hard Earthbound grew tired of RPGs and their tired formulas. Incorporating a system where you never have to fight a monster was Toby Fox's way of introducing the world to the idea of random encounter monsters as more than just tools to gain experience; as characters with personalities.
Join xwater and guest host Moni this week as we talk all about the lore and story of Undertale!

    Episode 37: DotA

    Episode 37: DotA

As the great basshunter once said - "Vi sitter här i Venten och spelar lite DotA"
DotA was the mod that brought the MobA genre to the limelight of the gaming world, so it's only natural that your favorite video game history podcast could give you the wonderful origin story about how DotA brought gaming and Esports to new, never before seen heights. This week's guest is my very own brother, and I'm excited to share this episode with you guys. Enjoy learning all about how the MobA genre started with a neat little idea from Starcraft custom games.

If you have a soft spot for games of the past

This is an awesome cast. These folks really do their research and deliver the goods. I’ve listened to episodes about games/topics I wasn’t necessarily that interested in but become engrossed in their history and the connection to the overall gaming history that most notable games have.
