Talking Thomas Brown, Ken Zampese & Eric Bieniemy as potential OCs and answering Pete's mediocre trivia question

Talking Thomas Brown, Ken Zampese & Eric Bieniemy as potential OCs and answering Pete's mediocre trivia question

JP Finlay, Mitch Tischler and Pete Hailey are back and, like you, are still curious as to what the Commanders will do at offensive coordinator. Will they nab Thomas Brown, promote Ken Zampese or somehow snag Eric Bieniemy? From there, Mitch and Pete lead a pair of random segments, with Mitch discussing the Coach of the Year finalists and how they're just another reminder of Washington's struggles before Pete presents a trivia question that ties into this weekend's action. If you like podcasts where Mitch is self-conscious about his hair and JP is self-conscious about his ski gear, then this is the episode for you.

Delving further into the offensive coordinator search and wondering where ex-Ravens OC Greg Roman fits in

Delving further into the offensive coordinator search and wondering where ex-Ravens OC Greg Roman fits in

JP Finlay, Mitch Tischler and Pete Hailey begin this Washington Football Talk with more offensive coordinator chatter, as the guys discuss who's interviewed for the position, who's set to interview and whether ex-Ravens OC Greg Roman is an appealing target or not for the club. From there, Pete quickly recaps Friday's opening of a new sportsbook inside of FedEx Field before the trio makes their picks for the next batch of playoff matchups. Once they're done, you'll hear Jason Wright's Friday session with reporters where the Commanders' president mostly discusses what the sportsbook will do for the stadium (and briefly touches on the ownership situation and how he's handling the uncertainty). Then, to close, Pete welcomes on Dave, a UK listener who won the program's season-long over/unders competition and therefore earned a spot on this installment of the show. During Dave's appearance, he describes what it's like to support Washington from so far away, details what a typical gameday for him includes and is generally a very pleasant person to talk to. If you like podcasts where Mitch and JP bond over random run plays from their childhood and JP shuts down Mitch's Lamar Jackson ideations, then this is the episode for you.

JP shares a slew of sale/ownership nuggets and the guys react to the report about Sam Howell being QB1

JP shares a slew of sale/ownership nuggets and the guys react to the report about Sam Howell being QB1

JP Finlay opens this Washington Football Talk with Mitch Tischler and Pete Hailey by sharing a chunk of ownership-related info that he has been collecting recently. Among those nuggets are a potential timeline for a sale of the Commanders, Jeff Bezos' status, the dropping out of another potential candidate and renewed optimism about the stadium possibly returning to the RFK site. That discussion takes up the bulk of the show, but at the end, the guys also react to the weekend's reports about Sam Howell being viewed as Washington's QB1. If you like podcasts where pickup trucks, Bitcoin and poop sandwiches are referred to in rapid succession, then this is the episode for you.

Is Derek Carr an appealing target at QB? Plus, Matthew Berry tells JP why he's angry about Scott Turner's firing

Is Derek Carr an appealing target at QB? Plus, Matthew Berry tells JP why he's angry about Scott Turner's firing

JP Finlay, Mitch Tischler and Pete Hailey begin this Washington Football Talk by explaining why none of them are all that interested in the team pursuing Derek Carr to be the franchise's QB of the future. After discussing Carr, the guys shift their focus to the club's vacant offensive coordinator gig before making their picks for each of the weekend's playoff games. Then, to close, JP catches up with the famous (and Commanders-crazed) Matthew Berry, who is really, really not pleased that Scott Turner was fired and also relatively pro-Carr. If you like podcasts where Doc Walker makes one hell of a cameo, then this is the episode for you.

EMERGENCY POD: The Commanders have fired Scott Turner and now have an opening at offensive coordinator

EMERGENCY POD: The Commanders have fired Scott Turner and now have an opening at offensive coordinator

JP Finlay, Mitch Tischler and Pete Hailey recorded their final postgame pod of the 2022 season just a couple of days ago and already have significant 2023 news to react to, as the Commanders chose to fire Scott Turner on Tuesday (news that JP Finlay himself broke). In their review of the move, the guys explain why they aren't surprised by it, what Turner's replacement will face and potential (as well as far-fetched) candidates for the gig. After analyzing the Turner firing, the trio moves on to chat about Ron Rivera and Martin Mayhew's uninspiring season-in-review presser from Tuesday. If you like podcasts where JP threatens to end the entire show in the event that *insert-a-certain-situation-here* happens, then this is the episode for you.

POSTGAME POD: Sam Howell shows a lot of promise as the Commanders crush the Cowboys to close the season

POSTGAME POD: Sam Howell shows a lot of promise as the Commanders crush the Cowboys to close the season

JP Finlay, Mitch Tischler and Pete Hailey begin this Washington Football Talk — their final postgame edition of the season :( — by praising Sam Howell for what he showed against the Cowboys. From there, the guys explain why the victory over Dallas, while fun, was also frustrating. Other segments include a discussion about Taylor Heinicke's future, a round of Game Balls and a salute to one Commander who absolutely will be moving on after Week 18. Then, to close, you'll hear JP's one-on-ones with Howell and Khaleke Hudson. If you like podcasts where Pete (sorta) compares Howell to a yearly MVP candidate and JP creates the phrase "eat it and beat it," then this is the episode for you. Also — thanks for listening from the 2022 opener to the closer, pod fans. It's unbelievably appreciated.

Always like it…but…

UK Dave .. this bloke is cool. Really enjoyed this. Great WFT podcast.

Unfollow

I used to listen, but I can’t do it anymore. The show would be some much better without JP. He’s always interrupting and talking over his cohosts and guests and his loud rants are annoying and childish. This show is truly amateur hour because of the host.

Scuzzleberry ,

Great season
