Episode 1 - "Voulez Vous Couchez Avec Moi"
And Just Like That Episode 1 Recap "Hello It's Me"
We watched "And Just Like That" episode one, titled "Hello It's Me." This is the return of Sex and The City and as people who were never really big Sex in the City fans (not that we didn't like it, it just wasn't what we were watching when we were watching TV back in 1998) we decided now that there is a redux we'd give it a try. Spoiler. We don't know Sex in the City backward and forwards and wanted to watch it like people who might be finding it for the first time. So we didn't do too much pre-show digging and we definitely have our own opinions.
What will we decide about the show that hopes to resurrect the characters that every woman in the early 2000s was supposed to be able to identify with? Listen and see.
Spider-Man: No Way Home
We were so excited to watch Spider-Man No Way Home that it has become our first movie podcast! Look out, this one is full of spoilers! We talk about Spider-Man No Way Home, give you a pretty good synopsis, and talk about whether or not you need to watch all of the Spider-Man movies as well as The Amazing Spiderman movies. This makes 8 Spider-Man movies! Thank you, MCU, Marvel Cinematic Universe!
Listen to our podcast as we pick apart what we like and don't like, and even talk about the bonus content at the end!
On The Verge
On The Verge by Julie Delpy on Netflix, should it be the next show you binge-watch?
Jen and Danielle hash it out. Who'd have guessed that this time around the sisters would have such vastly different opinions? Listen and find out how Julie, Elizabeth Shue, Sarah Jones, and Alexia Jones have created what Jen calls Sex in The City meets a Woody Allen movie done as a French film.
Our first episode of Season Two!
Episodes (The show with Matt LeBlanc not an episode of a show, dummy)
Episodes is a hilarious, well-written, maybe a little edgy show that was originally on Showtime and is now Streaming on Netflix.
Starring Matt LeBlanc - playing himself, Tamsin Greig, Stephen Mangan, Mircea Monroe, John Pankow, and Kathleen Rose Perkins (who we think stole the show!).
Listen as we tell you whether to binge it or not, hint - binge it! Beware of spoilers halfway through!
After married couple Sean and Beverly Lincoln win yet another BAFTA Award for their successful British sitcom, Lyman's Boys, they are persuaded to move to Hollywood and remake their series for an American audience. Unfortunately, the network starts to make changes (including the title, now Pucks!), and pressures the couple into casting Matt LeBlanc in the lead role, a part that Matt is largely unsuited for.
Found randomly while looking for a discussion of Firefly Lane, and the sisters’ very blunt rapport is cracking me up. I’m grateful for the thoughtful, focused analysis without preamble or filler.
I think it’s great to embrace spoilers. Can’t speak for other listeners, but I don’t use podcasts to DECIDE whether to watch a show, instead, they help me to process what I’ve already seen. SPOIL MERRILY AWAY!
Love this podcast!
Jen and Danielle are so fun to listen to and honestly it’s saved me wasted time trying to find a decent show. Fun, interesting and intelligent! 5 stars!
