Beach cleanups and the voice of nature, with Christopher Banas

Beach cleanups and the voice of nature, with Christopher Banas

In this episode, we had an inspiring conversation with Christopher Banas, Investor, Founder, & Environmental Advocate. Chris decided to give up on the corporate grind and, together with Johnathan Humphrey, founded Natural Dividends Inc.

Both Natural Dividends founders saw Nature struggling to thrive and were inspired to bring investment concepts to increase returns for our most valuable investment, our environment. Natural Dividends is an environmental non-profit responsible for organising very successful events on both USA coasts, such as Negative Net Hiking Cleanups and Community events like Beach Cleanups.
Natural Dividends' mission is to empower the local community to Increase Nature’s Share, and to amplify the voices of others who are involved in local initiatives. Its goal is to get a diverse community involved in Increasing Nature’s Share and become a voice for Nature.

“As a community, making small sustainable changes every day will pay large dividends to Nature.” (Natural Dividends White Paper, available here)

This episode has been produced by Sílvia Seixas Rodrigues (Podcast Producer) with sound production by Francesco Rignanese (Sound Designer) and Parth Gupta (Partnership Network Coordinator), our podcast primary host.

How does a zero waste shop work?

How does a zero waste shop work?

In this episode, we explain how a zero-waste shop works and clear out all your doubts when it comes to buying zero-waste products. To help us do that, we invited Hana Hrdlickova, who took over a small shop in Prague and started a zero waste shop with her partner. The shop, called Kohoutek (https://www.kohoutek.shop) specializes in household products and cosmetics.

In the show, Hana shared how she felt the need to be an agent of change and, as a business owner, how to be part of the Zero Waste movement. Her experience of starting a business is truly inspiring.

For even more information about Zero Waste don’t forget to subscribe to and share our magazine.
