    WWFinHS 210: Tom Beall

I get a few minutes into this conversation and realize Tom was PRETTY CLOSE to a friend Senior Year. I even went to his Graduation Party! But I never knew much about Tom. Now he fills me in on his pressures to succeed on a struggling football team, being a teenage fireman, and his long desire to join the Air Force that almost feels like a story of destiny.

    WWFinHS 209: Kimberly Pierce (Borkowski)

Kim and I talk about Wissahickon's Foreign Language Program, and I try to sing a song in French.
We share our experiences being in "Dreamgirls" in Middle School and our disappointment in the chorus program. Also, Kim talks about being diagnosed with Turner Syndrome and her struggles with weight as a kid. And can there be more than 1 type of person in each group?

    WWFinHS 208: Barclay Boyd

Barclay was bullied as a kid while battling Major Depressive Disorder. Barclay's High School adversity paled in comparison to her trauma in the US Army as a victim of sexual assault and marrying a narcissist that would subject her to mental and verbal abuse for the next decade, before escaping freedom with her son to rebuild her life. Barclay bares the good and the bad with incredible bravery.

    WWFinHS 207: Euka Kotabe

Euka moved to our school in the beginning of 10th grade, one of the hardest times for kids. While missing his love of BMX, Euka pushed through with new friends and graduated, all the while dreaming of getting back "home" to Austin, TX. But that's not where Euka ended up going. Plus, thoughts on being one of the few Japanese students in school, and what the podcast has taught me so far.

Personal, insightful and fascinating

What an incredible listen. I don’t think you need to have known these people to appreciate the podcast. These stories of growing up are both deeply personal and universal. Brad, I’m completely blown away. Not to get too dramatic, but it’s reassuring and refreshing to have these reminders of shared humanity, especially when the people you interview may have been viewed as simple two dimensional stereotypes a decade and a half ago. I hope this catches on beyond WHS.

Expertly Captures The High School Experience, Through Older Wiser Eyes.

Fascinating concept. Exploring the internal and external lives of high school acquaintances nearly twenty years after graduation, finding previously unknown commonality and humanizing characters that we all know, but don't really know.
