Hayley Paige's Maximalist Wedding: Why You Should Stop Planning a "Timeless" One

You've seen the photos. Now hear the full story from someone who was there. Bridal designer Hayley Paige just got married, and Jove was a guest. In this episode, Hayley takes us inside her maximalist wedding weekend at the Mission Inn in Riverside, California. She wore eight wedding dresses in one day, including a pink ceremony gown and a rhinestone "glimmer" look that she changed out of mid-ceremony. She also had three wedding cakes (one shaped like a dress), a hand-painted dance floor mapped with the couple's constellations, and a custom wine aged since the year she and Conrad got engaged. After a seven-year engagement and a long fight to reclaim her name and her brand, Hayley explains why she designed her own bridal collection around her wedding. She talks about why she and Conrad said their vows without notes, and why she thinks "timeless" is the most overrated word in wedding planning. If you're planning a wedding and wondering how to make it feel like you, whether that means wearing a colored wedding dress, having multiple outfit changes, or ignoring what everyone says you "should" do, this one's for you. In this episode: - The pink wedding dress and the surprise mid-ceremony change - How she wore eight dresses without missing her own party - A seven-year engagement and vows without notes - Three cakes, rose petal rain, and a hand-painted dance floor - Hayley's top tips for planning a wedding that feels like you - Hayley turns the mic on Jove Hayley's wedding dresses launch soon. Peloton's Matty Maggiacomo on Cutting His Wedding Guest List From 200 to 60

Peloton instructor Matty Maggiacomo and his husband Evan join Weddings-ish with Jove to tell the story of their relationship — a dating app match right as COVID hit, months of long-distance FaceTimes, and a proposal on the rooftop of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Matty and Evan get honest about the real cost of a wedding: they started planning a 150–200 person blowout upstate before scaling all the way down to 60 guests in Central Park — and why neither of them regrets it. They also break down their custom wedding fashion (a Tom Ford-inspired coat and a bespoke Brooklyn-made suit), the surprising reason they went a full week without speaking before the ceremony, and how PBS NewsHour co-anchor Amna Nawaz ended up officiating their wedding. Plus: Matty's path from local news reporter to Peloton instructor, and why Evan took Matty's last name. Topics covered: - Meeting on a dating app at the start of the pandemic - Long-distance dating during COVID lockdown - The Met rooftop proposal - Cutting a wedding from 200 guests to 60 - Custom-made wedding fashion vs. designer labels - Skipping the "first look" tradition - Amna Nawaz officiating their ceremony - Taking your husband's last name If you liked this episode, please subscribe and leave a review on Spotify, Amazon, Apple Podcasts, or here on Love Stories TV’s YouTube channel. Emma Arletta Talks Plus-Size Wedding Dress Shopping, Toxic Exes & Her Rolls-Royce Exit

This week on Weddings-ish, Jove sits down with content creator, model, and newlywed Emma Arletta for a candid conversation about love, plus-size bridal fashion, and building a wedding that actually reflects you. Emma opens up about her slow-burn love story with husband Kelton (including the Hinge left-swipe he tried to hide for years), leaving a toxic relationship, and navigating a cross-country long-distance stretch before their Oklahoma wedding day. She also traces her path from speech therapy to viral TikTok star and full-time content creator advocating for size inclusivity in fashion and bridal. The two dig deep into wedding planning highlights, including: Private vows over coffee instead of a public ceremony A runway-style processional with a wheelchair-spin entrance A surprise gospel choir performance embedded in the crowd Matching her wedding dress to her cake (by accident) A red-carpet-style paparazzi grand exit in a vintage Rolls-Royce Why she believes every couple should splurge on a wedding planner Emma also shares the story behind launching her own inclusive bridal line, designed to fill the gaps she experienced while planning her own wedding — from getting-ready robes to rehearsal dinner looks, sized 10 to 32. Plus, in this episode's Ask Jove segment, Jove and guest co-host Sloane tackle a listener question about navigating traditional wedding expectations as a queer couple — and why writing your own rules is a gift, not a compromise.
