Weekend of June 24, 2022 – Hour 1 Into Tomorrow With Dave Graveline

    • Tech News

Tech News and Commentary

Dave and the team discuss a tech documentary recommendation, the never-ending purchase of Twitter, national Uber Eats, digital apparel, Paramount and historical sensibilities, T-Mobile's travel benefits, Prime Day, and more.

Our guest this hour:

Bradley Davis, CEO of Faxaroo

Nancy in Gilmer, Texas listens on KTBB and participated with the App and asked: "I have a Samsung Android phone that randomly switches to 4G when I am clearly within Wi-Fi boundaries. I'll check my settings and Wi-Fi is indeed selected, so I'll do a restart. This usually clears up the situation but recently, that is having no effect at all. This is eating into my data balance. Do you have any suggestions that don't involve clearing everything off the phone and starting over? Thanks for any help you can give me."

Nancy, clearing everything off your phone and starting over tends to be the most reliable fix in cases like that.

There are a few other things you can try though, if your Samsung phone is still receiving updates, make sure youre on the latest version. That should ensure you have the latest bug fixes for this issue if there are any, and it would ensure that youre on the latest drivers as well.

Both of those are potential culprits, and a single update would take care of both.

The other thing to check is that its your Android phone and not your WiFi network causing the issue.

Do you have any other devices on WiFi? Do they sometimes get disconnected? If they do it may be time to take a closer look at your router, it may not be doing its job properly.

When you participate on the show – anytime 24/7 – and we HEAR you with any consumer tech question, comment, help for another listener, tech rage or just share your favorite App these days … you could win prizes.
