In today's episode,  I’m joined on the show by anti-diet wellness expert and creator of her signature getEATfluenced® coaching program, Maggie Landes. Listen in as we have a conversation about weight stigma in the medical field, where it comes from, what we can do to fight that, and what she is doing to combat this stigma in her own way.  
Maggie is also a board-certified physician, public health nutritionist, and the creator and host of “The Eatfluencer Podcast,” where she and her guests dig into the mindset work required to construct a healthy, complete, and high-quality life unlimited by the oppression of diet culture. In her getEATfluenced® coaching program, Maggie helps women who are exasperated with chronic dieting be able to fix their food overwhelm and live a full and unrestricted life pursuing their version of health without the distraction of rigid eating behavior.

Weight Stima and the impact of it in the medical field[11:11] The bottom line is that there are healthy people in large bodies and those in large bodies who are unhealthy; there are people in small bodies who are healthy and those in small bodies who are unhealthy, so let’s just take the “bodies” out of it. [18:49] This will never end until somebody says that we have to break this cycle and make health care about health, not weight. [24:06] Any positive activity is still positive. There is not some bar of magnitude that if it is not “this,” then it doesn’t count. It all counts. [29:47] Make sure you get all the possible treatment options for your condition in the first encounter with your doctor. You shouldn’t have to lose weight to access the rest of your health care. [37:10] Plus much more, including what can people in thin bodies with thin privilege do to help this movement to separate health and weight?
